From the McCune Smith Cordice Medical Society Leadership
As we get ready to turn the page on 2025 and open a new chapter in 2026, let us reflect
on what we have accomplished in our short existence. We have provided information to
both the men and women of our communities regarding the most common cancers that
affect us. We have shown up repeatedly to provide guidance and be role models for the
younger generation in multiple schools.
We have supported the needy and the unfortunate migrants by providing them with warm clothing. We have advocated with our legislators on behalf of our members, affected in so many ways by both the government measures and the commercial insurance initiatives that are nefarious to us.
Yet, one of our proudest achievements is the creation of this tight knit network of like-
minded physicians, with eyes turned toward the same goals and providing mutual
support not only in difficult moments but also to celebrate our successes, as we build
that ethos worthy of the eponymous characters, we have chosen to model ourselves
after.
At the dawn of this New Year, let us make the firm resolution to double down on all
our efforts on behalf of our colleagues and our communities, strengthen our
determination to elevate or at least contribute to elevating our fellow human beings,
particularly, those most in need, those facing more challenges, those facing uncertain
tomorrows.
We will continue all that we have started. We will all seek to become more
actively involved in the running of our society, paying our dues on time and joining at
least one committee. We will do more coat drives, we will discuss how to better open
the path to success for our youth, that will be called upon to carry the torch when the
time comes.
Let us take the time to enjoy ourselves and bring in more of our colleagues
to share this wonderful experience with all of us. Those are the wishes of your
leadership committee.
HAPPY, HEALTHY, PEACEFUL and SUCCESSFUL NEW YEAR!
